Great newsfrom St. Mary’s Church, Houghton on the Hill: we are amongst the finalists in the National Church Awards, 2023! St. Mary’s entered the ‘Visitors’ category of this year’s awards and is now amongst the final twelve candidates for national recognition of our efforts to encourage people to visit our beautiful church.

In recent years St Mary’s has been hosting many concerts and events, all designed to draw visitors to the Church and absorb its unique history, its 11^thcentury wall paintings, and its beautiful, peaceful garden. Being a finalist in the National Church Awards competition is an immense boost to our efforts to make St. Mary’s known both nationally and internationally.
