A fascinating concert was held in St Mary's Church on 31 July. A recital by Donald Bousted, which demonstrated the wide musical range of the baritone and tenor ukuleles, played to a full house. A total of 46 guests attended, happily seated on pews and chairs within the historic church, to listen to melodies from the sixteenth century, Spanish and jazz pieces and contemporary compositions. The composers of two of Donald's latest works were also present at the concert.

We were delighted to welcome them to St Mary's Church as a wonderfully atmospheric arena for his music. After the performance Donald’s CDs were snapped up by enthusiastic guests, who hailed the event a great success, while enjoying some light refreshments.
